After taking a Mini Family Road trip to @greatwolflodge in LaGrange, Georgia, I figured why not share some, Helpful Tips When Visiting Wolf Creek Lodge. Once arrived we checked in to their 2 bedroom Grizzly Suite and let’s just say, I highly recommend. Especially for a family of 5. Each bedroom had a TV, including the living room area. Which was equipped with a mini fridge, microwave and sink – which all came in handy. There were two bathrooms and overall plenty of space for the kids to spread out.
While exploring the resort there were multiple shops to grab souvenirs and snacks, along with several places to eat. Our favorite was inside the water park. The portions were plenty and the cost was very affordable, about $5 – $8 a meal.
While inside the waterpark, you can say there is something for everyone. I loved seeing the kids smile with excitement as they ran from slide to slide, covering pretty much every attraction. It’s not that large, so you get an opportunity to try out everything and thankfully for us without any long wait times, Off seasons are the best seasons. They even have an outdoor pool and play area. Unfortunately due to the rain, we didn’t get to check out. But it looked fun.
Another Highlight were all the activities they have going on throughout the day. From sunup to sundown. The cutest thing was the Dance Party, topped with Music performances and bubbles. Bella got a chance to do Story Time Yoga on Day 2 and it was truly a delight. Between the Rock climbing, Arcade, Mini Golf, Magical Quest and Character appearances, there’s plenty of non-water options too. Just in case you want to take a water break.
I would highly suggest checking their site for deals, which we were able to steal, because otherwise it can get a bit pricey. We did visit during a weekday and I found that to be a best.
Here’s a few Helpful Tips When Visiting Wolf Creek Lodge:
1. Get there around 1PM on the day of check in because you can head to the park prior to your room being ready, so if your staying for 1 night, you can basically enjoy the park for two days. (get your monies worth)
2. Bring a waterproof camera case because it gets pretty wet in there, but your not going to want to miss capturing any of those fun memories.
3. Pack snacks and drinks for the room there’s a mini fridge, and water makes kids hungry.
4. Plan dinner ahead because most places close by 9:30 PM. We ended up ordering Hibachi take-out, which wasn’t bad. Depending on which location you visit some may have more options than others.
5. Elect to pay using your wristband, that way you can keep personal belongings in room and take only what you need to the park. (Game Changer, and they hold $100 deposit when you check in so you can pull from that before ever spending more)
6. Make sure you download the app in advance so you can get a heads up on all the free activities on your day of arrival and throughout your stay. So you can plan your fun accordingly.
7. Purchase the Activity Passes if you have kids 4 and older, it will save you money in the long run and they will be able to get the full experience of the resort. (There’s different types depending on budget)
8. Plan some in-room fun. Bring a game or two. After the park closes the resort does shortly after. If your family are a bunch of night owls you will want to have some entertainment on hand.
9. Pack Light. You mainly need your bathing suit and a change of clothes. They provide towels inside the water park. Free of Charge.
10. Elect for your family to wear either matching bathing suits or bright colored swim wear. This helps with spotting one another throughout the park whether in the water or out.
I would definitely go back and the kids have been asking to. So I guess we will be planning soon. I Hope these tips make your stay and play even more fun.
