Groovy One Birthday Party

A year really goes by quickly. It was just yesterday I was snapping my last pregnancy photo. Don’t laugh, but I was also making a video to that trending sound that goes –

“When the song come on

let me see you get gone

baby mama this your song

been pregnant for way to long

Now tell the DJ to turn it on!

I never posted it. But, I chuckle at the drafts even to this day. And, if you know me and know how I dance you probably will be chuckling too, LOL. Fast forward to a year with Baby Nova and a bunch of monthly milestone photos. We arrive at the Big One, Literally.

We decided to celebrate intimately among our closest friends and family and throw A Groovy One Birthday Party. I first, created a mood board using Canva – which I highly suggest. Because, let’s be honest Pinterest is, a rabbit hole just waiting for you to fall into. I wanted to do my best at sticking to the budget. It sort of worked.

with the help of my DIY sister and Baby Nova’s Gigi – God Mother – we pulled off one amazing Groovy One Birthday Party. You can say she is probably the only one I would trust with my vision with my eyes closed because she just gets me. She even knows when I am about to obsess over something tiny – and trust me I did at least almost 10 times – but she’s my balance and I needed that. My girl did her thing with the balloons while I tackled the rest of the set up and gathered the activities together which were “Groovy Flower Headbands” & “Tie Dye Bandanas” each a hit among the guests – especially the adults.

If I had to do another different I would say – Nothing – because everything unfolded just as I envisioned, and let’s just say Baby Nova knew it was her day and she was totally – The Groovy One!
